VAN ALSTYNE – Farmersville closed out the year in the April 27 District 13-3A meet at Panther Stadium.

Below is a break down for each grade level in relays and individually within the top six.

 

Seventh-grade

In relays the district champion girls took first (800 meters) and third (400).

Earning points were Shelby Vaughn (third in 100, fifth in high jump and sixth in long jump), Kelly Valliant (sixth in 100), Macie Edwards (first in 200), Casie McClure (first in 2,400 and third in 800), Cassie McClure (second in 2,400 and fourth in 800), Aubrie Rich (fourth in 1,600 and sixth in 800), Brittany Nelson (third in 2,400), Kenna Elliott (sixth in 100 hurdles), Jolee Derrick (fourth in 300 hurdles), Mary Hibbits (first in shot put and third in discus), Rebecca Monk (first in discus and fourth in shot put) and K’Leigh Nierste (sixth in 300 hurdles).

For the boys were Leo Baernal (third in 100 and 200), Alec Fisher (second in 100 and fourth in 200), Adrian Castillo (second in 400 and third in 800), Marshall Varner (first in 2,400 and second in 1,600), Ian Campbell (third in 1,600 and 2,400), Gabe Sandoval (sixth in shot put), Eli Alonso (first in discus), Landry Lokey (third in discus) and Josh Holeman (sixth in 1,600).

 

Eighth-grade

In relays the girls finished up first (800) and third (400).

In the top six were Lupita Patino (fourth in 400), Lindsey May (first in long jump, second in 300 hurdles and third in triple jump), Mallee V (fifth in long jump), Hailey Lewis (fourth in shot put), Megan Ravsten (sixth in shot put), Cheyenne Cooper (fourth in discus) and Ashlyn Harmon (third in high jump).

During the relays the boys took second (800) and third (400).

Competing were Joe Martinez (second in 1000, Jacob Poplin (fourth in 100 and sixth in long jump), Reid Brown (fourth in 200), Jorge Castro (fourth in 400), Devin Howell (third in 1,600 and fifth in 2,400), Michael Bagwell (third in 2,400), Jaxson Rudicle (first in 110 hurdles), Alex Whitmer (fourth in 110 hurdles and fifth in 300 hurdles), Brandon Spruill (second in shot put), Chandler Jones (fourth in shot put), Andy Villareal (fourth in discus) and Chandler Jones (fifth in discus).
