The Farmers enjoyed all that comes with winning district, in the form of various All-District honors.

Leading the charge with 13-3A superlatives were Offensive Most Valuable Player Darrin Pennington, Pitcher of the Year Lyle Hibbits and Coaching Staff of the Year Jon Nordin and Tracy Hacker.

On the first team were Chase Hacker (pitcher), Jason Luke (infield), Hunter Exum (outfield) and Lyle Hibbits (designated hitter).

Cole Anderson (catcher) and Chandler Norman (infield) made the second group.

The Farmers finished the 2015 season 19-7 overall and 13-3A champions at 13-1.

Also making the postseason were Van Alstyne 11-3, Leonard 10-4 and Lone Oak 8-6.

Missing the postseason cut were Whitewright 5-9, Tom Bean and Caddo Mills each 4-10, and Commerce 1-13.

Farmersville captured the bi-district title following a sweep of Mineola at 7-2 (at Sunnyvale) and 1-0 (at Athens).

Their season came to a close in the following round with 6-0 and 3-2 losses to New Boston at Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill.

Most Valuable Player – Van Alstyne’s Kearon Redmon

Defensive MVP – Leonard’s Dylan Monck

Newcomer of the Year – Van Alstyne’s Bryce Curtius

 

First team

Pitcher – Van Alstyne’s Will Jones and Lone Oak’s Andrew Nichols.

Catcher – Van Alstyne’s Alex Phillips.

Infield – Tom Bean’s Tyler Danner, Whitewright’s Dylan Kendrick, Caddo Mills’ Reed Randolph, Leonard’s Colson Coheley, Lone Oak’s Brett Kelly and Van Alstyne’s Trey Burden.

Outfield – Caddo Mills’ Tristan Gee, Commerce’s Jayston Wilson, Leonard’s Brent Hicks and Whitewright’s Jeryd Peutz.

Utility – Leonard’s Ryan Nixon and Lone Oak’s River Tolleson.

 

Second team

Pitcher – Lone Oak’s Kevin Smith, Leonard’s Blake Cummings and Tom Bean’s Payton Jones.

Catcher – Caddo Mills’ Josh Freeman.

Infield – Van Alstyne’s Jon Burge, Whitewright’s Kendall Shaw, Caddo Mills’ Cade Krodle, Leonard’s Mason Sargent, Lone Oak’s Cade Patton and Commerce’s Gearion Walker.

Outfield – Whitewright’s Burke Hosier, Caddo Mills’ Bryce Jones, Commerce’s Keton Potts, Lone Oak’s Clay Moats and Van Alstyne’s Terry Lawrence.

Designated hitter – Tom Bean’s Alec Narro.

Utility – Van Alstyne’s Justin Beatty and Caddo Mills’ Trevor Martin.
