Trail lovers from far and wide converged on Farmersville May 27 for the Texas Lakes Trail meeting.

A wide variety of topics including the Northeast Texas Trail and the Northeast Texas Council of Governments were included.

Visitors also took a look at Farmersville, the accompanying Chaparral Trail and the Audie Murphy Trailhead.

More than 40 people attended the quarterly meeting which was held at the Civic Center in Farmersville with a catered lunch provided by Jalapenos, breakfast by Charlie’s Old Fashioned Burgers and desserts by Spivy Cakes.

One of the prime focuses of the meeting is to encourage those along the trail to work together, get ideas for trail promotion and tourism thoughts that go along with the trail.
