Two far travelers visited Farmersville over the weekend as a day especially set aside for them was celebrated.

Marcel and Mathilde Schmetz Day was declared by Farmersville Mayor Joe Helmberger for Aug. 29.

Marcel and Mathilde Schmetz, citizens of Thimister-Clermont, Belgium, who are known as “The Belgian M&Ms” have devoted innumerable hours serving as voluntary ambassadors of Belgium.
