Volunteers of all ages help at the Multi-agency Disaster Relief Center at First Baptist Church of Farmersville Dec. 30.

As clean up from the Dec. 26 tornadoes across Collin County continues, a huge asset to the area was established within Farmersville – the Collin County Multi-Agency Resource Center.

“The storm damage went from Blue Ridge up to Copeville and Farmersville was in the middle,” Jason Lane with Collin County Homeland Security said. “First Baptist Church stepped up and already had many things in place so it made sense to utilize them for the Multi-Agency Resource Center to be opened at the church.”

The center opened Dec. 30 and remained open until Jan. 1 for those that were affected by the storms to seek aid … clothing, toys, food and even prayer was available for those in need.
