Drive-thru chaos causes damage

B&D Self Storage on Hwy. 78 suffered damage after a vehicle drove through it Saturday, April 9.

B&D Self Storage suffered a large loss after a vehicle drove through the building.

At around 6:45 a.m. Saturday, April 9 Cindy Carbough, 45, of Royse City was traveling southbound on Hwy. 78 when according to police reports she went to pass a vehicle. Her vehicle began accelerating out of control and her brakes did not work, according to Farmersville Police Lieutenant Brian Alford. Though she hit the brakes several times, the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix left the roadway and hit three units of B&D Self Storage.
