Will the city of Farmersville have enough water 50 years from now? An update regarding the future of water for Collin County and the surrounding area was recently received.

Mike Rickman, who is the Deputy Director of Operations, Maintenance and Technology for North Texas Municipal Water District shared information with the city council and citizens at the April 12 meeting.

After an agenda item was brought to council March 8 regarding a recommendation letter for the Lower Bois D’ Arc Reservoir, councilmembers requested more information regarding processes and the future of water for the area.
