The Farmersville Police Department is celebrating. They recently received re-recognition of being in the Texas Police Chief Association’s Best Practices program.

The TPCA Best Practices program essentially tracks and creates best practices in for the law enforcement industry. These best practices are established through case law, industry evolvement, and standards of best practice.

The program has 166 criteria that departments must meet to be certified into the Best Practices program. The program is similar to an accreditation or certification process in which these standards are verified and inspected annually to verify compliance.
