
As hot temperatures continue in Texas, water safety is paramount for kids and adults alike while having summer fun on area lakes.
As summer temperatures rise, a cool, refreshing dip in the lake or pool may be just what is needed.
With five recent drowning incidents taking place in the DFW area, however, water safety is paramount.
“ Texas Parks and Wildlife is encouraging people to be smart, be safe and be sober while on area lakes,” Collin County Game Warden Mike Stephens said. “Be safe when you are out there, be smart about what you are doing and avoid boating while intoxicated.”
