Residents will soon enjoy a safer place to play thanks in part to Boy Scout Jonathan Hoar.

Jonathan, along with city of Farmersville workers, City Manager Ben White and other Scout members from Boy Scout Troop 310, has been hard at work putting a softer surface underneath the slide in the City Park. The project is part of Jonathan’s Eagle Scout project.

“I wanted to do a project in my community so I contacted Ben White and we sat down to discuss several different project ideas. I told him that I wanted to do a project that would make our town safer, and that is when he brought up the park slide project,” the Scout said.
