The dominance of District 13-4A volleyball continued as the first round came to a close.

The No. 6 state-ranked Lady Farmers defeated Crandall 25-23, 25-10, 16-25, 25-23 and Quinlan Ford 25-12, 25-8, 25-8.

“Crandall is a very good team. The win at their place was big for us,” Farmersville head coach Harold Davis said. “We played good against Quinlan (Ford) and didn’t give them a chance to get anything going.”

At the close of the first half of district Farmersville was 26-6 overall and first at 5-0 in 13-4A.

“I am proud of the girls this first half of district. They have put themselves in a good position,” Davis said.

The second half of district kicked off Tuesday, Oct. 9 with Caddo Mills on Senior Night.
