Main Street manager resigns; program in flux

by | Oct 11, 2018 | Latest

After the recent resignation of Farmersville Main Street Manager Reagan Rothenberger, uncertainty regarding the Main Street Program abounds.

Rothenberger resigned last week and will be moving on to a position as a city planner for the city of Murphy. His last day was Wednesday, Oct. 10.

“The reasons he citied were several fold and do not speak well for harmony and cohesiveness in our town,” Chairman of the Farmersville Community Development Corporation (4B) Mike Goldstein said. 4B is responsible for funding the salary of the Main Street manager and is the sponsor of the Main Street Program.

Rothenberg had previously stated he did not feel supported in his position as Main Street manager.

Mary Berry, president of the Farmersville Main Street board, said she is disappointed with Rothenberger’s decision.
