Plowing up success: Lady Farmers win district, playoff titles

by | May 30, 2019 | Sports

It was a record-breaking 2019 softball season for Farmersville.

The Lady Farmers went four rounds deep in the playoffs and won a district title.

“This team has grit, pride, a love for the game, and know-how to pick each other up. I have seen so much growth in these young ladies,” FHS head coach Paula Wilfong said. “They have created a culture and understand the nature of the sport. It’s been a heck of a run this year.”

During the playoffs they beat Brownsboro 8-4 and 9-0 in bi-district, Henderson 14-2 and 7-4 in area, and Van 13-2 in the quarterfinals.
