Summer Reading Club continues

The weekly reading club, sponsored by The Farmersville Times, will be held at 2 p.m. each Wednesday July 10 through Aug. 7.

The Summer Reading Club is free and open to all ages who don’t think they are too old to color.

Prizes will also be given throughout the summer for reading books and achieving a certain amount of hours reading.

Programs and themes include:

  • Wednesday, July 24 – Not all heroes wear capes: guest readers police officers and firefighters
  • Wednesday, July 31 – Don’t you wish it was cold outside? guest reader from The Farmersville Times
  • Wednesday, Aug. 7 – We love reading here or there – Final club meeting with Dr. Seuss Party: guest reader Jim Foy

Participants will receive free passes for Sea Life Aquarium and Lego Land in Grapevine Mills along with several other items throughout the summer.

Those wanting to check out books are encouraged to come early prior to the program.
