City denied grant for parkway

Collin County Commissioners Court has said “no” to a request to help Farmersville City Hall pay for a parkway planned for the roadway between U.S. Highway 380 and Highway 78.

Although the vote denying a grant request from the city isn’t necessarily the death knell for the parkway, the decision has disappointed City Manager Ben White, who has wondered, “When are we ever going to get ours?”
