The Texas Public Utility Commission this month kicked a North Texas Municipal Water District rate dispute back to the district, ordering that the 13 member cities work to mediate their disagreements at least through the end of the year.
That direction came two months after a PUC determination that water rates charged by NTMWD are adverse to the public interest.
