State champion returns to coach at high school

A former 2007 football state champion has returned home.

Farmersville 2008 graduate Quincy Roberts was recently hired to coach at Farmersville High School.

“I knew at some point that I wanted to come back to Farmer­sville and coach. I didn’t think it would be this soon in my career,” he said. “I mean, I’m still young and there is still a lot I have to learn, but I’m glad that I get to do that learning and growing at home around a great coaching staff and com­munity.”
