City follows Gov. Abbott’s lead in reopening

Surge in cases expected to continue in D-FW

Last Friday marked the third and final stage of Gov. Greg Abbott’s plan Open Texas which was unveiled on Jun. 3.

Stage 3 includes opening amusement parks and carnivals at 50 percent capacity in counties with more than 1,000 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.

It also requires cities to maintain safe standards if they plan fireworks events during Independence Day.
