The spring and summer months are prime time for boating in Texas. This means learning how to be safe while on the water is crucial.
Just like driving, it is recommended anyone interested in owning or renting a boat take a boating safety course. The important lessons learned during these courses can save one’s life. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) offers an online version of a course but in-person options are also available. To access the TPWD online course, visit twpd.texas.gov.
