To begin the new year, Farmersville High School opens the 2020 volleyball season with high expectations, ranking near the top of the 4A teams.

In a poll released by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, the Lady Farmers finished fourth of the top-4A teams in the state of Texas, behind Krum High School, 2019 state finalist Hereford High School and Carthage High School.

Last season, Farmersville ended the regular season as district 13-4A champions for the second straight season, finishing in the playoffs as a regional semi-finalist with a loss to Kennedale Highschool.

Rounding out the top ten are Argyle High School, La Vernia High School, Midlothian Heritage, Salado High School, Needville High School and Bellville High School. The Lady Farmers host Midlothian Heritage on Friday, August 28, in Farmersville.
