Special election early voting starts

Early voting to fill a vacancy for Texas Senate, Dist. 30, that includes Farmersville opens Monday, Sept. 14 and runs through Friday, Sept. 25.

A special election to fill a va­cancy created when state Sen. Pat Fallon stepped down to campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives, Dist. 4, was called by Gov. Greg Abbot so that the district would have rep­resentation when the Texas Leg­islature convenes for its biennial session in January 2020.
