Farmersville ISD hosts Homecoming Bonfire

by | Oct 7, 2020 | Education, Latest

Farmersville High School will host their own Pep Rally/Bonfire to celebrate the students, alumni and the community this year.

The event will be held behind the FHS tennis courts Wednesday, Oct. 7.

At the Bonfire/Pep rally, the High School will celebrate their fall sports, including the football and volleyball teams, as well as alumni from the past.

With homecoming being about building a sense of community and tradition, the district envisions this event as a great way to honor their students, said Superintendent of Farmersville ISD Micheal French.

“We’re excited for our Homecoming Hometown Pep Rally and Bonfire,” French said. “We look at it as a chance for our Farmersville community to come together to celebrate our Farmersville students, our alumni, our community, and our Farmersville family. Farmersville is all about family, unity, and tradition, and this event is a perfect way to honor our students at homecoming while honoring Farmersville and our traditions.”

Some of the festivities include a letterman jacket contest, honoring members of past and present athletic teams, and fun celebrations of the community.

The event is slated to start at 8 p.m., with those wishing to attend recommended to get there by 7:30 p.m.
