Fire department hopes to ‘Serve up Safety in the kitchen’

 Farmersville Fire Chief Kim Morris is on a streak he wants to see continue for as long as is humanly possible.

He said the fire department has gone the entire year to date without having to battle a structure fire.

“I probably jinxed myself by saying that,” Morris said.

To keep the streak alive, he and the fire department he has led since 2006, plan to spread a message about fire safety during Fire Prevention Week, which runs through Saturday.
