Floating amid the trees

 Sometimes blind faith and a convincing friend can make you stretch your limits and take you on a journey you’d never imagined yourself being on.

Such is the case with Ran­dal Shinn, who, just a few short months ago, found him­self agreeing to a friend’s suggestion to build a massive treehouse on his property off County Road 618 in Farmers­ville.

Shinn has plenty of property – 64 acres to be exact – and an area with a grove of very tall trees, which impressed his friend, fellow Mason and tree­house builder, Mike Snyder, who told him he had the perfect trees for a treehouse.
