This past weekend, the Farmersville girls basketball team hit the court for the first time this season.
After having their season delayed due to a long run in the volleyball playoffs and then again by a COVID delay, the Lady Farmers saw their season opener Friday night at the FHS gym. With only a week of preparation until the start of their district competition, Farmersville had a lot of preparation they had to do in a short timeframe.
In their season opener, held Friday, Dec. 4, the Lady Farmers took on a strong Muenster team. Starting their season off an undefeated 6-0, the Lady Hornets had impressive early wins on their resume, including a 25-point win over Denison and a 14-point victory over Pottsboro.
With only a few practices under their belt, the Lady Farmers struggled against the Lady Hornets, losing 68-20.
