Boys basketball loses district opener to Caddo Mills

by | Dec 23, 2020 | Sports

After missing their last three games, the Farmersville boys basketball team were shorthanded for their district opener, losing to Caddo Mills 68-57 Tuesday, Dec. 22.

Thoughts from Coach Jeff Green

“I saw a lot of fight from the team,” Green said. “We were shorthanded, but I believed the team played with a lot of motivation tonight. That was probably the best complete game we played all year, both on the offensive and defensive ends. Caddo is a good team, so for us to be within striking distance in the fourth quarter, I felt pretty good about it.”

Impact Farmer of the Game: Josh Hoar

Senior Josh Hoar was the leading scorer for Farmersville in their game against Caddo Mills, shooting it really well from 3-point range. Hoar finished with 27 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter.

The Farmers return to action Tuesday, Dec. 29, on the road against Leonard. For a full recap of the Farmersville vs Caddo Mills, check out our Dec. 31 issue or subscribe online.
