In their final game before Christmas, the Farmersville girls basketball team were unable to capitalize on their three-game winning streak, losing to Caddo Mills 67-58 Tuesday, Dec. 22.
Thoughts from Coach Sandra Hoge
“That was very frustrating,” Hoge said. “We didn’t have a very good first quarter. We were slow to start off and we let them score 3-pointers. We took some outside shots we shouldn’t have-our shot selection wasn’t where we wanted it to be. That ended up costing us in the long run.”
Key Lady Farmer of the Night: Reese Fetty
After only scoring seven points in the first half, senior Reese Fetty got into a rhythm scoring to keep Farmersville close with Caddo Mills. Fetty finished with 29 points, including 16 points during the fourth quarter.
The Lady Farmers return to action Wednesday, Dec. 30, at home against Collinsville. For a full recap of the Farmersville vs Caddo Mills basketball game, check out our Dec. 31 issue or subscribe online.
