Farmersville Soccer Preview

After finding success in their first years of UIL competition, the Farmersville soccer teams are ready to continue their pursuit of a strong 2021 season. The Farmers had their first tournament of the season this past weekend, going 1-3 in the Greenville tournament to earn their first win of the season. Meanwhile, the Lady Farmers only had one game this week, a road contest against Greenville Tuesday, Jan. 12. Here are the games for Farmersville soccer this week:

Thursday, Jan. 14-Saturday, Jan. 16: Farmersville boys in Denison Tournament

Going back on the road, the Farmersville boys soccer team competes in its second tournament of the season this weekend, facing off in a three-day tournament at Denison Thursday, Jan. 14 through Saturday, Jan. 16. The Farmers open the tournament with a rematch against the Denison Yellow Jackets, whom they faced in the first game of the season. Kickoff against Denison is scheduled for 4 p.m. The following day, Farmersville is scheduled to play Melissa at 2 p.m., while they close the tournament against Texas High School in a Saturday morning game. Kickoff against Texas is slated to start at 11 a.m.

Thursday, Jan. 14-Saturday, Jan. 16: Lady Farmers compete at Midlothian tournament

Alongside the boys team, the Farmersville girls soccer team competes in their first tournament of the season, facing off in a three-day tournament at Midlothian Thursday, Jan. 14 through Saturday, Jan. 16. The Lady Farmers open the tournament with a game against Burleson, scheduled to take place at the Midlothian ISD Stadium Thursday at 11:45 a.m. The following day, Farmersville is scheduled to play Red Oak at the high school, with first kick scheduled for 1:15 p.m. Farmersville closes the tournament in a Saturday afternoon game against Ranchview, slated to start at 4:15 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 18- Soccer Doubleheader at A-Plus Academy.

Shortly after their tournament action, the Farmersville boys and girls soccer teams will face A-Plus academy in a double header Monday, Jan. 18. This marks the first double header of the season for Farmerville. The Lady Farmers are scheduled to play at 5:30 p.m., while the boys soccer team starts at 7:15 p.m.
