After losing its season opener Jan. 2, the Farmersville girls soccer team returned for the first time in 10 days this week, facing Greenville on the road before competing in the Midlothian tournament.
Going 1-3 over these four contests, the Lady Farmers grew throughout the contest, growing as a young program.
The best result of the weekend came in their finale at Midlothian Heritage, beating Ranchview 3-2 for their first win of the season Saturday, Jan. 16. After trailing by two goals at halftime, the Lady Farmers were able to equalize on great scoring opportunities from Riley Dean, who scored two goals in the game, and Kate Rich, who scored her first game of the season against Ranchview.
