Heading into their second round of district competition, the Farmersville boys basketball team hopes to improve its district standings as they close out it’s season.
Holding a 1-4 district record, the Farmers are tied for sixth in the district standings, sitting one game behind Sunnyvale for a playoff spot. Farmersville’s lone district victory came against Sunnyvale, defeating them on the road in overtime 91-86.
As Farmersville prepares for the second half of their district slate, let’s look at how each district opponent is faring at this point in the season and examine the challenges of Farmersville’s playoff pursuits.
Top of the Heap: Kaufman Lions and Caddo Mills Foxes
At the top of the district are the two teams who have given Farmersville two of their biggest district losses in Kaufman and Caddo Mills. Caddo Mills has lived up to their pre-district expectations, while Kaufman has started to establish itself as a dangerous squad at this point in the season.
