After earning their first victory in Greenville, the Farmersville boys soccer team competed in another road tournament, participating in Denison Thursday, Jan. 14, through Saturday, Jan. 16.
Despite losing all four contests, Farmersville coach Felix Barboza said he was proud of how the Farmers managed themselves for all 70 minutes of the game clock, learning how to keep their composure.
“I think what we’ve shown as we head into the last remaining games of this pre district competition is how competitive we can be,” Barboza said. “I’m very appreciative of what our non-district schedule was and how it was constructed because we have been playing pretty much all 5A schools. That helps us out a lot because it’s going to give our boys better experience against good opponents and that much tougher when we go into district play at the 4A level.”
