Davis leads returning class for Lady Farmers

by | Jun 17, 2021 | Sports

After earning a third straight appearance in the regional semifinals last season, Farmersville volleyball coach Harold Davis is ready to return the Lady Farmers to the playoffs in 2021.

One of the obstacles Davis and the Lady Farmers will have to overcome this season is the loss of a strong senior class. Along with star Reese Fetty, Farmersville graduated four other senior starters last season: libero Kate Ingram, middle blocker Alex Brooks, outside hitter Kylie Self and defensive specialist Wendy Trejo.

“That group of seniors, as far as a total group is concerned, is the best group I’ve had since I’ve been here,” Davis said. “I’m going to miss them to death. They’re an extremely talented group, as all of them have been on varsity at least by their sophomore year and they all become starters by their junior year.”
