Blassingame brings grit to Farmers basketball

by | Jul 1, 2021 | Sports

After several seasons leading his home town Wolfe City, Stephen Blassingame is facing a new challenge, turning around the Farmersville boys basketball team as its new head coach.

Despite the new obstacles, Blassingame said he appreciates the new opportunity to coach at FHS.

“I’m excited as I’ve been for a long time,” said the coach. “I love Wolfe City. I was from there, loved coaching there and left a really good team. But when you’re somewhere for that long, you start to get complacent. Coming somewhere new, getting to start freshman, I feel rejuvenated. I’m excited about being here, and I’m excited about these kids.”
