With one week left until district play, the Lady Farmers have established themselves as a top-tier program.
Through the first 24 games, Farmersville has one of its best starts to any season. Since losing to Royse City in the first tournament of the year, the Lady Farmers have won 35 of 37 sets.
Entering last week’s slate, they improved their overall record to 25-1. On the road, the Lady Farmers managed to win two very tight contests to keep their winning streak alive.
Coach Harold Davis was proud of his team for responding against a tough road environment.
“I saw a lot of good stuff,” Davis said. “We knew going against Van Alstyne at their place was going to be tough. They always play really well. When you get over there, you’re playing against a pretty good crowd and atmosphere. That’s something that you need to get your kids prepared for come playoff time.”
