Play of the Game: Braves block field goal late in regulation
Community tied the game with five minutes left in the fourth quarter. Farmersville responded on their next possession, driving down to the Braves’ 11-yard line with a chance to win the game off of a 28-yard field goal by Conner Hanson.
The Braves capitalized in the moment, blocking the kick to send the game into overtime. After matching a Tidwell touchdown in the first overtime, Community retook the lead in the second overtime on a two-yard rushing touchdown by Quinton Hall. The Farmers failed to match this score, as the Braves’ defense helped clinch a second consecutive playoff spot.
The Farmers travel to Sunnyvale for their regular season finale Friday, Nov. 5.
