FISD scores high marks for financial management

The Texas Education Agency has given the Farmersville Independent School District a “superior” financial rating, the FISD board of trustees learned Monday night.

The board conducted a 15-minute public hearing prior to the start of its regular board meeting. It heard from FISD’s chief financial officer, Deputy Superintendent Anna Baker, who spelled out the TEA’s rating. She credited the financial team at the school district, along with the work done by former Superintendent Jeff Adams, for enabling FISD to receive TEA’s top financial rating.
