Farmersville sweeps Mabank to advance to area competition

by | Nov 3, 2021 | Latest, Sports

The Lady Farmers started the playoffs on a high note, sweeping Mabank in their bi-district playoff game Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Traveling to Emory, they had a strong performance to open the game, defeating the Lady Panthers 25-17 in the first set. The Lady Farmers dominated the second set, winning by 12 points to put themselves in a position to win. The third set was fairly close, but they came out on top by five points to earn the neutral site sweep.

Farmersville now advances to the area championship round, where it’ll take on North Lamar. The Lady Panthers defeated Spring Hill in five sets in their bi-district round match. The game will be held in Sulphur Springs Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.
