Lady Farmers sweep North Lamar, advance to regional quarterfinals

by | Nov 4, 2021 | Latest, Sports

The Lady Farmers continued their playoff streak, sweeping North Lamar in their area championship Thursday.

Traveling to Sulphur Springs, each set was close. The Lady Farmers closed the first set on a 15-6 scoring run to win 25-19. North Lamar held an 18-15 lead in the second set before Farmersville won by four. A similar situation happened in the final set, as FHS won five of the final six points to earn the sweep.

Farmersville now advances to the regional semifinals, where they’ll take on Van High School. The Lady Farmers have faced Van twice this year, winning both games. The game will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Emory Rains High School at 7:00 p.m.
