Three keys to victory: Farmersville vs. Sunnyvale

by | Nov 4, 2021 | Latest, Sports

Farmersville is playing its final game of the season without a chance to make the playoffs

They were mathematically eliminated after losing last week in double overtime to Community 43-35. The Farmers closes the season at Sunnyvale Friday, Nov. 5.

Here are three keys to a Farmers victory over the Raiders:

  • Use Brady Tidwell early and often

Unlike last year, Farmersville has focused their rushing attack on one tailback: senior Tidwell. He has been their leading rusher for five straight games, including 195 yards against Community. Tidwell has thrived as the Farmers’ do-it-all back, running efficiently both outside and between the tackles.

His performance has allowed for the rest of the offense to succeed. Brady Gray’s dual-threat ability relies on having a reliable back like Tidwell. To have success against Sunnyvale, the offense needs to use him as much as possible.
