Chase heads “rejuvenated” girls soccer team

by | Dec 9, 2021 | Latest, Sports

After a series of tough finishes last year, the Farmersville girls soccer team has undergone changes during the offseason.

The team finished 2-12 in district play and 7-16 overall in 2021, having lost 11 of their last 12 games to end up seventh in the standings.

Coach Chris Chase said the Lady Farmers went through a major personnel shift this offseason, focusing on weeding out those who weren’t committed to the team. While it will put his team at a disadvantage early, he said this shift will set the team up for success.

“We’re demanding a lot more from the team,” Chase said. “I’ve got some leaders that have stepped up and have expanded their roles.”
