Local man digs deep into cemetery records

Mack Hurst, along with a few of his friends, embarked on a mission that sounded and looked like an impossible task, which was to bring the records of an old Farmersville cemetery from the 19th century into the 21st century.

However, according to Hurst, the mission has been accomplished. It didn’t happen overnight. It took time to slog through the handwritten notes marking the gravesites and those who owned them at the IOOF Cemetery along Sycamore Street.
