Lady Farmers miss out on postseason bid

by | Feb 10, 2022 | Latest, Sports

The Farmersville Lady Farmers basketball team missed out on the playoffs with a 50-37 loss to Kaufman on Tuesday night.

Farmersville (4-8, 9-18) lost their last five district play games, struggling with injuries and a limited roster. They fell behind 20-5 after the first quarter to Kaufman, who were led by Aubre Prox’s 15 points.

Freshman Ashdon Kelly led the Lady Farmers with 14 points, trying to keep her team in it late. Paige Lair and Rylee Ortega are graduating seniors on the Lady Farmers team.
