Four day week will remain say trustees

Farmersville Independent School District trustees, citing a continuing influx of top-quality educators into the district based on the structure of its academic calendar, on Monday night approved keeping the school system on a four-day week for the 2022-23 academic year.

The board voted unanimously to adopt the coming year’s calendar after hearing from parents and teachers who said the four-day schedule has been an inducement to attract new educators and to keep the faculty currently employed by FISD.
