The Lady Farmers defeated Quinlan Ford 10-2 to give the team its 10th victory in district play.
With just a 1-0 lead for the majority of the game, Farmersville broke the game open with five runs in the top of the fifth and four more in the sixth to seal the win. Morgan Erwin doubled in Jamie Varga and later scored on Alyssa Smith’s single to ignite the fifth inning, which was capped off by Carleigh Deeds’ two-RBI double.
Varga picked up her 12th win of the season, striking out 14 batters over a complete-game victory.
After the bye in their schedule this Friday, Farmersville wraps up the regular season Tuesday, April 19 at home against Caddo Mills followed by a road contest against Terrell on April 22.
