Farmersville football schedule set for 2022

With the spring in the air, Farmersville football is now just around the corner. 

The 2022 season should create plenty of intrigue, with the Farmers welcoming new district foes, a new head coach and plenty of roster changes. 

With Randy Barens retiring from his role as head football coach and athletic director, offensive coordinator Zac Quinlan takes over the position. UIL realignment also will play a part in the season, as the team moves into Division II District 5-4A for the next two years. That gives the Farmers some long road games, including Gainesville and Aubrey.

Here is the football schedule for Farmersville in 2022 (home games in italics):

Week 0 – Friday, Aug. 12 vs. North Lamar, 6 p.m. (Scrimmage)

Week 0 – Thursday, Aug. 18 @ Bonham, 6 p.m. (Scrimmage)

Week 1 – Friday, Aug. 26 @ Eustace, 7:30 p.m.

Week 2 – Friday, Sept. 2 vs. Dallas Molina, 7:30 p.m.

Week 3 – Friday, Sept. 9 vs. Pilot Point (Homecoming), 7:30 p.m.

Week 4 – Friday, Sept. 16 @ Community, 7:30 p.m.

Week 5 – Bye Week

Week 6 – Friday, Sept. 30 vs. Bridgeport*, 7:30 p.m.

Week 7 – Friday, Oct. 7 @ Gainesville*, 7:30 p.m.

Week 8 – Friday, Oct. 14 vs. Van Alstyne*, 7:30 p.m.

Week 9 – Friday, Oct. 21 @ Krum*, 7:30 p.m.

Week 10 – Friday, Oct. 28 vs. Sanger* (Senior Night), 7:30 p.m.

Week 11 – Friday, Nov. 4 @ Aubrey*, 7:30 p.m.
