Property owners outcry CCAD value estimates

by | Apr 28, 2022 | Area news, Latest

As prices for basic goods and services continues to stretch budgets, many Collin County property owners received appraised value estimates last week that have them in shock.

The valuations were mailed by Collin Central Appraisal District (CCAD) and if the property owner disagrees with the appraised amount, they have a deadline of May 16 to protest.

CCAD is expected to release its list of property value estimates to taxing entities this week.

Several property owners responded to a C&S Media/The Farmersville Times social media inquiry asking what they thought about their new property appraisals. Many respondents indicated they plan on protesting the values.
