Historical Society hosts unique 2-day event for students

Farmersville Intermediate School fourth grade students traveled back to the 1900s last week thanks to a unique program offered by the Farmersville Historical Society.

Following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, 177 students participated in Farmersville 1900s May 18-19 at the Bain-Honaker House and the Onion Shed.

The event aligns with the students’ study of local and state history and Bertie Neu, historical society president, said “The society does all the planning, so it is more like a field trip.”
