FISD summer feeding program underway

The Farmersville Independent School District is ringing the breakfast and lunch bells for children who can get a free meal during the summer, said Candi Johnson, nutrition director at FISD.

“We are going to serve meals at the Junior High School twice daily,” Johnson said.

Who’s eligible to eat? Johnson said FISD is serving any child from the ages of 1 through 18; 21-year-olds with disabilities or who are attending school also are eligible, she said.
