Farmersville’s ongoing struggle with how to regulate food trucks within the city has taken another turn with the revealing of a draft ordinance presented by City Attorney Alan Lathrom.
Council members heard the presentation at their regular July 26 meeting, with Lathrom agreeing with Councilman Craig Overstreet that the ordinance “is a work in progress.”
The draft ordinance seeks to resolve a long-standing dispute between the city and Benny and Beverley Mundy, who operate a barbecue stand in the parking lot of the Dollar General on McKinney Street.
