Collin College Farmersille Fall

Farmers lose on road to Community

by | Sep 17, 2022 | Latest, Sports

Last week’s optimism was replaced with a sour tone as the Farmers finish the non-district play with a road loss to rival Community.

The Farmers (2-2) fell behind 36-0 quickly in the first half before Jacob Tull scored on a short run as the time expired for halftime. Tull scored both touchdowns, including a 14-yard run late in the fourth after Dauntae Pearson forced a fumble for the Farmers’ defense.

The story of the game was Community’s (2-2) physical offensive line and rushing attack behind Quinton Hall that led the way in their victory. The Braves were also getting their final prep in before district play next week.

After the game, the Farmers will get a week of rest and preparation as they prepare for their first game of District 5-4A Division II against Bridgeport (3-1) on Sept. 30.
